Description
Did you find him, midst the palo verde and all the petroglyphs on the stone wall? Quiet As A Mouse is a playful piece focusing on one of the Sonoran deserts most iconic creatures, the gila monster. Okay, I should have titled it Quiet As A Pack Rat but like the rather playful connotation of that popular Christmas story. Inspired by the spectacular and vivid colors of the desert here in Tucson, Arizona, and intricate stained glass I wanted to do something more unusual. These bright colors and interesting textures help give this piece a uniquely southwestern feel.
