Description
Predawn Business was part of a gallery series here in Tucson, Arizona. The goal was to create artwork that reflected some of the creatures that help pollinate the multitude of desert flowers in the spring. I chose a simple saguaro cactus blossom as the main focal point with three bees doing what they do best, besides make honey, gather pollen. And to illustrate the idea that these fellows also do their work at night I wanted a color pallet that was a bit stronger. The bright blue sets off the stunning blossom and the work these rather innocuous fellows do. We rarely take notice of them, unless stung, and this painting says, I see you little ones.
