Description
Western Solarmask is a simple study of abstraction focusing on the subject of a face, or more likely a mask. It is a very approachable subject that provides an instant connection and relation for a viewer, drawing from it a narrative easily imagined. Strong geometric elements with bright color and texture help create this unique narrative that captivates. Living here in the desert southwest I am constantly reminded of the history of this rugged territory. Ah yes, the sun! Who does not think of the sun when hearing or talking about the desert? Bringing these two ideas together makes for a powerful visual that will keep a viewer coming back time and again hoping to glean some truth about life and our history. Currently I am in the process of creating more images with this theme so please check back from time to time to see what is new! Beautiful! Title fits - it does have a western feel to it. Love the white washed tones.
