Description
Humuhumunukunukuapua a. . . or Humuhumu. . . , okay, reef triggerfish; easier to remember but not as much fun to say, is one of my favorite fish from the south Pacific ocean. My first experience with this colorful guy was at a place called Two-step, or Honaunau Bay, on the southwest side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Through a bit of controversy this fish remains the state fish of Hawaii. Colorful and interesting to watch while snorkeling I found it difficult to stop following this fellow around as he sifted through the sand among the coral reef. Even as a print I still find him fun to look at.
Please check back from time to time to see what is new. And you can view some of my other paintings and designs at www.randy-wollenmann.artistwebsites.com or visit my website at www.randywollenmann.com
