Description
Autumn Owl was originally inspired by a painting I saw by the fourteenth century Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. I could not believe I was seeing such a cute depiction of an owl that could so easily fit in with the ubiquitous images we see today, thank you J. K. Rowling. And to add to my inspiration, almost every night I listen to the hooting of these enchanting birds right outside my window, perched up somewhere in the old olive tree. There must be a family of mice or pack rats around the place to keep these birds so entertained! But they are a magical fowl are they not? And I was drawn to the autumn color pallet for some reason. It adds to the narrative of the piece I feel. Hope you enjoy this piece and please take time to view some of my other paintings and designs at www.randy-wollenmann.artistwebsites.com or visit my website at www.randywollenmann.com
