Artist's Description

Originally titled Buddha I have renamed it The Praying Monk. I have no idea what Buddha looks like. Does anyone?

This piece was inspired by a statue I saw many years ago while working near in a sculpture studio. That piece was a simple and elegant design and I wanted to create something that would give me that same sense of peace, and calm.

My fascination with stained glass continues to find its way into some of my work.

This piece is completely rendered and colored using a painting program. I even went so far as to animate it with the sun setting and energy force circulating through the image.

A fascinating project to develop and it continues to inspire me today.

About Randy Wollenmann

Randy Wollenmann

Thanks for stopping by! I am an illustrator, designer, artist. Yes, I know, pick one! A difficult thing to do when the energy to explore takes hold. The combination of these two approaches helps in the creation of many of my more inventive images. My studio is dedicated to working with clients in creating unique and specific images that fit their particular projects. For over 30 years I have been developing images for editorial and product use. If you have a particular project in mind, or would like to incorporate some of my images into...
